House rules

Allowed

Legal goods and services offered by someone 18 or older, located on or serving Sint Maarten, in the right category:

• For sale — items you own and may sell.
• Free — giveaways, including rehoming an animal you cannot keep.
• Wanted — a clear request for something you are looking for.

Not allowed

• Anything illegal to sell or give away on Sint Maarten.
• Weapons, explosives, and stolen goods.
• Drugs and drug paraphernalia.
• Counterfeits and listings that impersonate a brand you do not represent.
• Sexual services, pornography, and sexual content involving anyone under 18.
• Animals for sale. Rehoming an animal for free is allowed under Free — do not hide a price in the description.
• Listings that discriminate, harass, or incite hatred.
• Scams, fake listings, and bait-and-switch photos.
• Spam, ads for other marketplaces, or the same listing posted over and over.

Animals

You may not sell an animal on BIDSXM. If you need to rehome a pet, post it as Free, be honest about temperament and health, and do not ask for money in the listing or in messages.

Photos

Use recent photos of the actual item. Stock photos, photos copied from another ad, and photos that hide damage are not allowed. People in a photo should have agreed to be shown.

Messages

Keep messages about the listing. No harassment, no threats, no phishing links, no pressure to pay off-island or through a stranger's account.

What we do

We do not approve every listing before it goes live. We may hide or remove a listing, replace a message with a placeholder, or suspend an account when a rule is broken. We do not have to give a public explanation for every action.
