These terms apply when you use BIDSXM, a classifieds site for Sint Maarten run by the bidSXM.com team. Using the site means you accept them.
The service
BIDSXM lets people post and browse listings to sell, give away, or look for things on Sint Maarten. We provide the site. We are not a party to any deal you make with someone you meet here.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or older. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it.
Accounts
You are responsible for the email and password on your account, and for what is posted from it. Keep your login to yourself. There is no self-service account deletion yet — email info@bidsxm.com if you want the account removed.
Listings
You may only post listings you are allowed to offer. What you write and the photos you upload must be honest. Listings must follow the House rules. We may edit, hide, or remove a listing, or close an account, when those rules are broken or the law requires it. We review after something is posted, not before every publish. New public listings may also be shared on the BIDSXM Facebook Page.
Photos
You must own the photos you upload, or have permission to use them. Do not upload images of other people without their consent. We may refuse or remove a photo that is not an image of the item, is misleading, or breaks the House rules.
Messages
Messages on the site are for arranging a viewing or a handover. Do not use them to harass, scam, or spam. We may read a thread when we handle a report.
No payments
BIDSXM does not take payments, hold deposits, or process cards. Price, payment method, and whether money changes hands are between you and the other person. Read Safety before you pay anyone.
Availability
We aim to keep the site up, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. If listing translation fails, that listing is not saved; the rest of the site stays up. Optional AI help and email can fail the same way. We may change or withdraw a feature.
Liability
Listings are written by users, not by us. We do not guarantee that an item exists, is as described, or is legally offered. To the extent the law of Sint Maarten allows, we are not liable for deals you make off the site, for user content, or for downtime. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top is the date that applies. Continued use after a change means you accept the new text.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of Sint Maarten. The Court of First Instance of Sint Maarten has jurisdiction, unless a mandatory rule says otherwise.
